I don't know what happened this past week that I didn't consume meals at the appointed times that most people do and that's no necessarily a bad thing at all. Why must we have breakfast, lunch, and supper if maybe we only need one or two meals a day to get all the sustenance that we need, right? It's good to change things up a bit every once in a while, too, so your diet doesn't get in a rut.

It didn't look pretty, but it tasted immaculate. And my new favorite Atkins Nutritionals product has got to be that chocolate caramel mousse bar. With just a hint of coffee notes (and I usually don't like that in a chocolate flavor), this is the most unique product they've ever made! Ahhhh, isn't it great to be livin' la vida low-carb? :D

NOTE: After a horrendous night of sleep on Saturday night/Sunday morning, I got a little bit of a late start today. But better late than not at all. It's funny when your schedule gets all out of whack like this how you lose track of what time it is. And I felt it when I was playing volleyball tonight too. Hopefully some semblance of a "normal" schedule will kick back in soon.

4 hamburger patties with Swiss and American cheese, tomato, pickle and mayo
Salad with tomato, greens, cheese, and Ranch dressing
Cantaloupe and apple slices with whipped cream

NOTE: Today was one of the strangest days I've had in a long time. Christine and I for whatever reason just couldn't sleep and it was a church day to boot. Finally, at around 2:00AM when we were just both laying there looking at the ceiling, we decided to get up. Christine did some cleaning while I hung out on Facebook and elsewhere online. It was kinda surreal, but we weren't tired at all. We decided to have some breakfast at a time of day we're NEVER awake! We got ready for church around 8:00AM and felt great singing in the choir and through Sunday School, but then it hit us during the second service when we were singing. Tard with a capital "T" kicked in and it was time to get some rest. I slept for about 5 hours or so before I got up. Crazy day! Of course, I was STARVING when I woke up and enjoyed a nice low-carb meal for supper. What a day, what a day!

NOTE: I noticed today that my tennis shoes smelled awful. Have you ever taken off your shoes and knew right away it was time to get new ones? Oh yeah, mine were WAY beyond this point today. All that running around I do on the volleyball court every week and in general warranted making the investment for another pair. The last time I got shoes, they were some cheap ones from Wal-mart and I suppose I got what I paid for with them only lasting a few months. Today, I got some Nike brand shoes that looked like they'd be durable enough for my active lifestyle without suffering from a "blowout" just a couple of months from now. Although money is a little tight, I considered this a fantastic investment towards my healthy lifestyle. Plus there's no more stinky shoes hanging around my house. *smile*

NOTE: Had a big plate of BBQ pork for lunch today and that kept me full just about all day long. The adjustment to the time change today was a rough one as I was up wide awake at 5:00AM today. So much for an "extra" hour of sleep! This whole changing the clocks thing is about the stupidest thing in the world. But they never asked my opinion. :)
