CALORIES: 2102
TOTAL CARBS: 7g
NET CARBS: 6g
NOTE: Today was a bit lighter on the carbohydrates than I have been with green, leafy veggies the primary source along with the around 1g found in eggs. I go ahead and count eggs as 1g carbohydrate each although technically I think it's like .7g per large egg. It's just a way to be honest about reporting my carb intake. The broccoli I've been eating tends to be a bit higher in total carbohydrates with a good amount of fiber in it that can be deducted for the net carbs. Christine and I stopped by a lady's house about 2 miles from our home where she sells fresh, local veggies and picked up some squash and green beans out of the garden. Can't wait to eat these in the coming days, although squash does tend to be higher in carbohydrates than salad greens or broccoli coming in around 10g for 1/2 cup serving. But it's real food that tastes amazing--especially with LOTS of butter! Looking forward to digging into that soon. And I'm anxious to see how this slight shift in my dietary intake--which has not compromised calories at all this week--will show up on the scale in a couple of days.

Jimmy, just want you to know that I'm amazed by how little you eat! And how infrequently! My weight loss is s-l-o-w and maybe because I eat so often. What do you think? Good luck with the new "diet" and I hope that helps solve your problem!
Thanks Mindy. Calorically speaking, I'm packing a punch of nutrient density in all of my meals. While may not be much volume, the fat calories add up. But I've been over 2,000 calories since I began this new focus. Try it to see how you do.
